GIA in New York
Exhibit Description
GIA's New York location at the International Gem Tower (IGT) celebrates the beauty and science of gemology with 14 display cases that highlight nearly 100 items from GIA’s museum collection. An 18-foot-long (5.48 meter) display case in the William Goldberg Student Commons features items that range from large, breathtaking aquamarine crystals, to a diminutive objet d'art golden cactus, to a necklace featuring Akoya, Tahitian and South Sea cultured pearls. From stunning gems and jewelry to freeform gem and mineral sculptures, the exhibits showcase the rarity and wonder of gems to visitors and students.
