Can I submit a mounted colored stone for analysis?
Yes. Analysis needed to produce a GIA Colored Stone Identification Report, Origin Report, and Analytical Report can be performed on mounted colored stones. Since the stone is mounted and not loose, all gross weight will be measured in grams rather than carats. Carat weight will be approximate to determine the appropriate fee.
