GIA iD100™, MELEE ANALYSIS SERVICE AND M2M

GIA iD100™ Gem Testing Device Available For Purchase

The GIA iD100™ combines advanced spectroscopic technology with GIA’s 60 years of diamond and gemstone identification research to distinguish natural diamonds from synthetic (HPHT and CVD) diamonds and diamond simulants.

GIA iD100 is the latest in a series of instruments and services from GIA that addresses concerns in the trade about the possibility of undisclosed synthetic or treated diamonds in the supply chain.

GIA will be selling and delivering the GIA iD100 at both its booth locations (while supplies last). The iD100 is 5,290 USD and 41,000 HKD when purchased at the show. This new desktop instrument is compact and easy-to-operate. See demonstrations at the GIA booths at both venues.

Melee Analysis Service

The Melee Analysis Service separates natural diamonds from simulants, synthetic, and HPHT treated natural diamonds, and sorts the screened diamonds by color range. Learn more about this service, now available at GIA locations worldwide, including our laboratory in Hong Kong.

Telling the Digital Story of a Diamond: GIA M2M

What is the excitement about a new service that gives consumers a new way to learn their diamonds’ history? Learn about a digital storytelling platform and app, M2M, that provides a close look into all the chapters of a diamond’s story—from the mine, through the cutting process and to the market.

LABORATORY SERVICES

Visit the booth to register as a client for laboratory services to submit diamonds, colored stones and pearls. GIA staff will be on-hand to explain new and existing digital and over-the-counter report services designed to support the gem and jewelry industry with the confidence and knowledge of over 85 years of gemological research, education and impartial gem identification.
