GIA, a sponsor of the 30th annual Santa Fe Symposium, will have a table in the networking area where you can find information about GIA’s Education and Jewelry Manufacturing Arts programs and classes. You can also learn about GIA’s development of the Quality Assurance Benchmarks for platinum jewelry.
Douglas Hall, an instructor in the Jewelry Manufacturing Arts department, will speak on "Practical Ergonomics: This won't Hurt, Trust Me..." His experience includes nine years as an instructor and active involvement with the GIA's ergonomic team, which works to improve workspaces for students who work with the tools of the gem and jewelry trade and GIA employees.
The Santa Fe Symposium helps gem and jewelry artists and professionals in manufacturing and design keep pace with advances in technology and research.
Innovations and information from all across the jewelry industry − technological, operational and experiential − will be discussed and explored during the symposium. Participants will share expertise and connect with other professionals to learn about what’s happening in every corner of the industry worldwide.
