Lucas and Hsu will share first-hand experiences from their field gemology research expeditions to colored gemstone mines and centers in Brazil, Colombia, Mozambique and Sri Lanka, including an overview of each location and details on the gems actively mined from these sources. They will also discuss jewelry manufacturing and consumption in the growing economies of China and India.
