COVID-19 FAQs for Laboratory Clients

With the closure of some of our GIA laboratory locations, we want to ensure you have answers to some of your important questions.

What happens to my stones that are currently in your closed laboratories?
We will prioritize them for processing as soon as we reopen.

What happens to the shipment of stones I just sent you?
We are in contact with the couriers (ie. FedEx, Malca, etc.) to coordinate receipt of the shipments.

If you sent in your goods via US Postal Service please contact your local office to locate your package.

How can I get my stones back?
Due to government mandates in many locations, we are unable to return your stones from closed laboratory locations until we are approved to re-open.

When will GIA resume business?
GIA is abiding by government mandates and will continue to do so. As soon as we are able to resume business we will notify clients. Visit https://www.gia.edu/coronavirus-update for the most up to date information regarding all GIA locations.

While our ability to respond to inquiries is limited, please email labservice@gia.edu with questions or concerns. We will do our best to reply as soon as we can, but there will be delays.
