India Campus Coronavirus Updates

Beginning August 5, the New Delhi campus will reopen at a limited capacity. Safety measures such as wearing a mask, frequently sanitizing hands and maintaining social distancing will be applicable at all times. Please contact the campus at eduindia@gia.edu or dial 1 800 419 9914 (within India only) if you have any questions.

The Mumbai campus and classrooms in Surat do not currently have a set date for resuming instruction. The safety of students, instructors and staff is very important to GIA and we are closely monitoring the situation. The campus will open when state and local government restrictions are lifted. Upon reopening, the campus will carefully follow the health and safety regulations required by local health officials.

  • Staff and students will be required to wear masks and gloves at all times when on campus and handling equipment or gemstones.
  • Hand sanitizer will be readily available in many locations.
  • Maintain proper social distancing of at least 1 meter from another person whenever possible.
  • Bring your own food containers, cups and cutlery and remove from premises daily.
