GIA at AGTA GemFair Tucson 2022

GIA Show Service Laboratory

GIA Show Services

GIA will offer convenient access for colored stone identification and origin lab services at the show. Drop off your stones for expert analysis and report services in the Onyx Suite with GIA’s on-site team of gemologists.

The GIA Show Service Laboratory will be available:
Jan. 31 – Feb. 5, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (opens one day before AGTA GemFair begins)
Feb. 6, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (pick up only)

Come prepared and save time by creating your GIA laboratory account ahead of time here. If you already have a GIA laboratory account, please log in before the show to ensure that all information is accurate and up to date, especially your contacts and their roles. Only authorized staff listed on your account will be able to submit and pick up stones from our Show Service Laboratory.

Note: Services will be available one day before the AGTA GemFair opens. Hours of operation differ from show hours. Temporary reports will be printed on site; permanent reports will be sent after the show. Submit your stones early for these popular services. Diamond and pearl report services will not be available.

Country of Origin Seminars

Advanced Colored Stones Country of Origin

The GIA Alumni Association will offer four seminars focused on colored stone country of origin determination. You can choose one of our 2-hour gem-specific seminars, or the 2-day advanced seminar which will cover emerald, ruby and sapphire, as well as many other commercially popular gems. Each seminar is presented by an experienced GIA instructor or researcher, and participants will receive helpful reference materials.

All seminars will be held at the Alfie Norville Gem and Mineral Museum

GIA Alumni receive a 10% discount on individual seminars. Participants who register for the Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald 2-hour seminars together will receive a 20% discount. These offers cannot be combined. Registrants are not required to be GIA Alumni.

NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM

GIA Night at the Museum

Join us for a “Night at the Museum,” sponsored by the GIA Alumni Association. Connect with friends old and new, industry leaders and colleagues. Enjoy self-guided museum tours, live music, hors d’oeuvres and cocktails as you view the wonders of the new University of AZ Alfie Norville Gem & Mineral Museum. We will also announce the finalists and recipient of the Gianmaria Buccellati Foundation Award for Excellence in Jewelry Design.
