The recently published Gems & Gemology article, “Cuprian Liddicoatite Tourmaline,” will be reviewed. General information about the identification and treatment of tourmaline gem materials, as well as the origin determination of “Paraíba” tourmalines, will also be introduced.
Update Information on Diamond Identificaiton in GIA’s Tokyo Laboratory

This presentation will review the current status of gem-quality synthetics or treated diamonds submitted to GIA. Technologies currently available for separating synthetics or treated from natural diamonds in GIA”s Tokyo laboratory will also be discussed.
